The WWE has been scrupulous about being clean in their live events. Unfortunately, the sport's entertainment brand could not stop one of their longest staff members from contracting a problem. On October 31st, the Titantron got a positive test for low resolution.
It happened on October 30th, during a Friday Smackdown. As Bailey was making her way to the ring to her cheering fans, the Titantron began to sputter and cough up pixels. The Titantron later said that the low resolution was due to seasonal allergies, but it got tested anyway.
This positive test will mean that every monitor and screen will have to be tested in the Thunderdome. This also means that no wrestlers will have to make their way to the ring without thousands and thousands of lit screens shining around them for at least three weeks.
"It's sad," Roman Reigns commented, "The Titantron is one of the hardest working WWE staff members in the company. It has carried us through the 2000's. Now that it is on the shelf we have to pretend like we are doing shows from 1995."
