BUFFALO, NY- Two mid-card teams faced off in a preshow match, August, Friday the 22nd: The Buffalo Bills and The Detroit Lions. Both of them knew they were not the highlight teams that drew fans, but they were determined to put on a good show. After much back in forth, The Buffalo Bills got the quick roll-up kick for the victory.
What intrigues me the most is that the booking committee decided that the Lions would put over the Bills. This leads me to other questions. Will the Bills be given the push they need to be put back on the main card? Are they PPV worthy? In the 90's they were main event material, but now it seems they are the jobber to help the main eventers get heat.
Maybe it's just a fluke. This was only a house show, after all. Either way, we don't know how the creative team is viewing the Bills right now. My guess is that this is just a ploy to get them into the NFL Monday Reunion Show.
